A school, not a brand.
EMS Training Academy started in 2013 with a simple idea: anyone delivering an EMS Training session should know what they are doing and why. That is why it is independent of any manufacturer. It teaches principles, parameters and method that work with every device.
Courses run online. Each level ends with an exam and a personal 12-month licence, renewed every year: your education does not stop at the certificate. Programmes designed according to the requirements of ISO/IEC 17024.

Dr. Mario Vella
Founder & Head of Education, EMS Training Academy
Before he taught training, he lived it. He is a former international rugby player and comes from athletic conditioning: he is a coach of the Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL) and a strength and conditioning coach of the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR).
He holds a degree in Sport Sciences (University of Pavia), completed six years of osteopathy and a master's in nutrition with SINSeB (Società Italiana di Nutrizione Sport e Benessere).
In 1997 he began using electrical stimulation on the athletics track, with four-electrode units. In 2013 he moved to whole-body EMS and founded EMS Training Academy, to bring scientific rigour where improvisation is common.

Multi-level courses
Since 2013 he has built a multi-level training path for EMS Training professionals, now organised into three levels on the EMS Mastery trilogy.
The EMS Mastery trilogy
Three volumes, from the ABC to high performance. Volume 1, The Scientific Basis for Success, is published in English and Italian.
The international congress
He organised the EMS International Congress (EMS IC), where professionals and researchers compare notes.
Public speaking
He speaks on health, movement and prevention.
